Eligibility Criteria – IPMAT Shillong 2026
To apply for the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Academic Requirements
● Candidates must have passed Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) or equivalent
with:
○ Minimum 60% aggregate marks (General category)
○ Minimum 55% marks for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates
● The qualifying examinations (Class 10 and 12) must have been passed in 2021 or
later
Subject Requirement
● Mathematics or Applied Mathematics is compulsory in Class 11 and 12
● Students without a mathematics background are not eligible for the IPM programme
at the Indian Institute of Management, Shillong
Age Limit
● Candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2005
● A relaxation of 5 years is provided for SC/ST/PwD candidates (i.e., born on or after
July 1, 2000)
Entrance Exam Requirement
● Candidates must have a valid score in IPMAT Indore, conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Indore
● Indian Institute of Management Shillong does not conduct a separate entrance exam; it uses the IPMAT Indore score for admission to its IPM programme
