Institution and admission route
Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) offers engineering choices that must be compared by branch, campus, curriculum, cost and the authorised admission route.
B.Tech programmes, branches and specialisations
Final branch names and combinations are those shown in the current seat matrix or admission brochure.
Eligibility, PCM and entrance requirement
- Class 12 with PCM plus either 75% aggregate, 65% for SC/ST/PwD, or the category-wise top-20-percentile criterion; qualify JEE Main eligibility and obtain a JEE Advanced rank.
- Obtain a valid JEE Advanced after JEE Main qualification result where required.
- Meet category-specific eligibility and produce certificates in the current prescribed format.
- Verify programme-specific rules before assuming that a common engineering eligibility applies to every branch.
The qualifying-subject combination, minimum marks, year-of-passing and attempt limits can differ by authority and intake. The current official brochure is final.
